Lead the Change: Women Shaping the Future of Tech

That’s the mission behind She@ISACA — a growing initiative of the ISACA German Chapter, building a strong network for women in cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
In 2021, only 25% of tech roles were held by women. That’s not enough.
With our ambassadors Nouha Schönbrunn and Annika Wägenbauer as proud hosts of this event, we are excited to welcome the She@ISACA community to Schönbrunn TASC, a company where over 50% of the team are women.
Together, we’re creating visibility, opportunity, and real impact.

Our Mission

We open doors for women in tech and cyber — the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

Our Vision

Tech needs diversity.
Cybersecurity needs new perspectives.
We believe in a future where women don’t just protect the digital world — they shape it.
With skills. With purpose. With impact.

„Between Security Mindset and System Change –  Why Authenticity and Individuals with Stance Redesign Technology“
Impulse Description:
What happens when we not only engage in cyber or tech but redefine the rules of the game? In this talk, we take a personal and interactive look at the transition from cybersecurity to tech – to combine role models, upheavals with diverse perspectives, reflective strength, and emotional intelligence. What does it mean when we do not just work in these fields, but actively reshape them? We talk about safety in the system – and insecurity in role changes. What is needed to leave old compartments and reposition oneself? Together, we question stereotypes, share experiences, and make visible what truly makes cyber and tech resilient – authenticity and individuals with stance.
Isabelle Hahn grew up in the cyber world – today she shapes transformations in the automotive industry. She began her career in the structured environment of banking – an industry where clear hierarchies and role models are often firmly established. This experience still shapes her view of stereotypical expectations and system changes. Isabelle believes in diversity as a real design factor – and in courageous transitions between old structures and new ideas. As a bridge builder between industries, she brings together experiential knowledge, emotion, and change energy.

AI in cybersecurity: Empowering the human firewall:
AI has brought a lot of innovation and advancement in the world we live in that has aided us in automation and providing useful services. However, AI is also equally accessible to those who wish to use it for purposes that target people, especially concerning cyberattacks. Fueled by advancements in AI, cyberattacks are on the rise, granting attackers easier access to execute cyberattacks. Given the use of AI in such attacks, the detectability of such attacks becomes more difficult. Human factors are increasingly exploited through social engineering, as attackers mimic human behavior with sophisticated techniques using AI such as voice cloning and open-source intelligence.
To cope with such cyberattacks, using traditional cybersecurity awareness programs does not suffice. The rapid evolution of AI necessitates continuously updated training methods, wherein AI can also be part of the solution. In my talk, I will discuss how we can leverage AI and create demonstrators that can further enhance cybersecurity awareness through experiential learning within a safe environment. This, in turn, can help empower humans to be protected in the cyber threat landscape powered by AI.

PIA's Hacking Night – Pentest In Action:
Where systems remain silent and vulnerabilities speak.
You think your system is secure? PIA thinks differently. Experience a live hacking presentation that will change your perception of IT security. In PIA, theory becomes tangible – live, authentic, and unfiltered. We take you into the perspective of an attacker, show technical attack methods, and how these vulnerabilities can be fixed. For decision-makers, admins, developers – and anyone who wants to know how quickly “secure” can become an illusion. Are you ready for PIA?

„Into Focus with AI – Clear Communication in the Age of Artificial Intelligence“:
Artificial intelligence is a part of our present. While algorithms are becoming increasingly powerful, clear, human communication is gaining further importance.
In the impulse presentation “Into Focus with AI,” Birgit Mertens discusses the demands that the use of AI places on interpersonal communication.
The central question is: How do we ensure that humans and machines work together – without misunderstandings, blind automation, or communication breakdowns?
